About the Commander Format:
In Commander play, four players face off in a free-for-all to determine the last one standing. Each deck is helmed by a Commander; a Legendary Creature or Legendary Vehicle card which players always have access to and which determines the color identity of their 100 card deck. All 99 other cards in the deck must only use colors that are included on the Commander's card, including basic lands. As well, all cards other than basic lands must be unique, no duplicates! Players have 40 life each, but there's a catch: take 21 or more combat damage from a single Commander and you lose the game.
Decks will not be provided for the event, please bring your own!
Game Structure:
- 4 Player Free-For-All Games: Compete to be the last one standing.
- Required Deck Size: 100 cards
- Go On an Adventure: Embark on a quest across Middle Earth during each game, progressing through iconic locations from The Hobbit story. Wield powerful artifacts from Smaug's hoard once you reach the Lonely Mountain!
